Meet Erionne Hester and her brother from Oakland, California:
Erionne is a single mom, diligently working her way through college to support her family.
We will supply Erionne, with furniture, housewares, and anything else that she needs, that is within our power, throughout the year.

Second Chance will be closed from 10:00 am till 12:30 pm today in honor of the funeral of slain Vallejo Police Officer James Capoot who died in the line of duty.

Great visit a few minutes ago from Stephen Millhouse. Steve has walked from Missoula, Montana to Vallejo, on his way to Los Angeles, to support the homeless. Very pleased to receive a visit from one of my most cherished volunteer's, Tiffany Ewton who is now a graduate in the medical profession, and a fine young lady. Tiffany (a native of Houston, Texas), organized our book department while she was a medical student at Touro University, Mare Island (See Photo Gallery At Bottom Of This Page). I find great joy in seeing our young people achieve their goals. I am very proud of Tiffany!

We were honored to receive a visit from Maria Guevara this afternoon. Maria is the heart of the "Vallejo Together" organization, which supplies clothing to the homeless, helps repair homes for the elderly at no cost, and organizes weekly support activities for the needy. With this Partnership, we will continue to supply Maria with tents, clothing, outdoor camping gear, and anything else that we receive that will support this worthwhile cause.

Second Chance has given away, to needy family's, 7 living room sets, 4 washers/dryers, 9 beds, three kitchen sets, desks, 12 dressers, up to 40 bags of quality clothing and shoes, pots, pans dishes, microwaves, and several other household items. In order for us to continue to serve the community, we need your help.
